"We like the alliteration"

Films: Aberration (1997)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average gecko.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Forget crocodiles. Forget snakes. Forget even the dinosaurs. If there's any reptile out there worth being afraid of, it's totally the tiny gecko! Seriously...really...okay, it's not that bad.

History: Somewhere in the wintery outskirts of the US, a mutated strain of geckos is on the prowl. Or really, it's breeding at an alarming rate, and throwing the entire ecosystem out of flux. Most of them have converged at a cabin, and any unfortunate enough to be there will know how deep their appetites get...

Notable Kills: A few eggs get attached to a person's head. At least one baby burrows out of his mouth before the head is riddled with bullets.

Final Fate: Most of the lizards are killed, blown up, or smashed before they even leave the embryo. The last lizard seen was blown up by a flare gun. In short, this violent species was officially extinct.

Powers/Abilities: Can spit out a blinding poison that can also put out fires. They are also capable of adapting to almost any environment.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Sadly, their status as a toothy horde and horrific reproduction does little to distract from the fact that they're simply too fake-looking to inspire any real fear. And who the Hell makes geckos the bad guys anyway?!

Trivia: -The largest gecko on record is the New Caledonian giant gecko. Rather interestingly, this adorable thing was the source of some fearful myths from the Kanak people, who once thought that if it clung to you, it would try and take out your soul. This and the strange growling noise it makes earned it the moniker of "the devil in the trees".

-This film was known as "Spur des Grauens" in Germany, which roughly translates to "Trace of Horror".

A process that these monsters lost in.

Still worthy of being dangerous.

Hard to believe they can do this to you.

Toothless, NO!
Why avoid the creatures when you can become them?

This can actually be a delicacy in other countries.
